Hey Ya'll,
If you didn't know, Ken Buckner (formally of LLL in Lubbock) has joined Lisa Taylor for mornings on the wolf. His first day was today (3/21) let's see what happends with him on board. I myself have never heard of him, and I'm not to happy that he's on bored. I think they should've let Lisa do the morning show. It's not like she can't carry a show- she's a class act for christ sake! Apparently during February/March, they were looking for replacements, and Ken was it, out of like 100 applicants. Why this late in the game. If it ain't broke, don't fix it! Lisa should've been on her own to do mornings. But I guess that's what happends when you need ratings, but still. Now all she does is news/traffic, again! (although Chris Sommer was doing news, and she was doing traffic) but honestly- they could get a news/traffic reporter to do that. sheesh. These are just my thoughts on this. Either give Lisa the midday slot, (like she was on Z100 and at WYNY before she went to nights) or let her have the morning show. Hate seeing her put in the background. She's not some newbie, she's been around for like 20 years- someone correct me if I'm wrong about the WYNY stint- please, as I can't speak to that, cause I was like, 5/6 years old lol. But anyways, I think she deserves to be the fronting person for the morning show- and not doing news/traffic, or give her a different time slot. But then, if they were to do that, then there might be the chance that she could be voicetracking- and that wouldn't be cool. So these are my feelings on this. I guess I should give the new-guy (Ken) a chance- but still. I'm not feelin it. Bring Lisa back Solo!

My thoughts are that i've never seen a morning show that only has one hoast.
Second of all, was she alone all that time before What about before the chris guy? Was there another morning person with her before that?
Yes there was... I've seen a morning show with only one host. Melissa Forman hosted the mornings at WLIT in Chicago forever until she got let go in 2009. Wow I'm surprised this topic is still active! lol!

does this bored take news as well. If so I can put up some stuff from a news letter I am subscribed to. Its for radio broadcasters and for anyone who wants to brake into the field of radio or just for someone who wants to be in the know. For me its someone who wants to brake into the field.
i say post away! you subscribe to radio-info? or how about radioinsite. there's a lot of them..., FMQB and AllAccess. i think there's another called Broadcast radio and telavision?
